PASO DOBLE BY MIQUEL BARCELÓ AND JOSEF NADJ
FAD SEBASTIÀ GASCH PRIZE 2006
“For managing to breathe life into a mud wall, and for making the audience dream, in a marvellous artistic exercise in which the transforming bodies of the performers was an essential and imposing part of the art work.”
The show was produced for the Avignon Festival, and defies any kind of definition or categorisation. One could say that the show is an “artwork” that came alive while it was on stage. Choreographer Nadj and painter Barceló worked together to create a living art work. They were asked to perform it elsewhere, but they refused. Making it an unrepeatable experience.
