FAD AWARD OF HONOR 2009
Sebastià Gasch wrote a lot about José de la Vega. He followed him from the beginning and over long periods of his artistic career. That’s why there’s nothing better than turning to his own words. Gasch wrote to Destino: “Apart from Vicente Escudero, given that Escudero belongs to another generation, this iron boy, simple and admirable, is the only authentic dancer we have in 1958”. Those who remember him from those years and later ones know that José de la Vega was a simple and admirable person and an iron dancer like nobody else.
